How Custom Forging Works.
Whether you’re buying from our curated stock or sending your own gear to engrave, the workflow is simple and built to protect your items at every step.
Step 1: Choose Your Path
Buy Our Stock: Pick from any catalog item, choose quantity, and upload your artwork at checkout.
Send Your Own: Select “Engraving Only” and tell us what you’re mailing in—knives, tools, heirlooms, or specialty gear.
Step 2: Design Approval
Once you order, our printmaker reviews your art for laser compatibility, legibility, and placement. If anything needs adjustment, you’ll receive a digital proof to approve before we touch your items.
Step 3: The Forge
After approval, we engrave with pinpoint accuracy in our Tucson workshop using calibrated laser settings tuned to your specific material and finish.
Step 4: Delivery
Your finished pieces are inspected, securely packed, and shipped back with tracking. You’ll receive updates as your order moves through production and shipping.
Ship-to-Customize Instructions
To protect your items and keep turnaround fast, follow these guidelines when mailing to our Grant Rd. workshop:
- Include your order number and contact info inside the box.
- Wrap each item individually with padding to prevent metal-on-metal contact.
- Avoid tape directly on leather, coated metals, or finished wood surfaces.
- Use a rigid box (no envelopes) with enough room for padding on all sides.
- Ship with a trackable service and keep your tracking number for reference.
- Address to: The Forge Workshop – Grant Rd. Location (full address provided in your confirmation email).
